ISOCC Terms of Use

Evergreen website version for ongoing use across annual ISOCC editions. Effective date: 20 March 2026.

Legal Entity

For the avoidance of doubt, the legal entity responsible for ISOCC and this Website is The Institute of Semiconductor Engineers (사단법인 반도체공학회), Republic of Korea.

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the official ISOCC website and related online services made available through www.isocc.org and any successor domain or platform designated by the ISOCC Secretariat (collectively, the “Website”). In these Terms, “ISOCC,” “we,” “us,” or “our” means the ISOCC Secretariat acting on behalf of the current ISOCC Organizing Committee.

1. Acceptance of the Terms

By accessing or using the Website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and by any additional guidelines, notices, policies, or instructions published on the Website. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Website.

2. Changes to the Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Any revised version will be posted on the Website with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the Website after revised Terms become effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

3. Permitted Use of the Website

You may use the Website only for lawful purposes related to learning about ISOCC, registering for events, submitting content, accessing event information, or communicating with the Secretariat. You may not use the Website in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the Website or interfere with any other person’s use of the Website.

4. Prohibited Conduct

Without limitation, you agree that you will not:

• post, upload, transmit, or otherwise make available any unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, harassing, infringing, or otherwise objectionable material;
• misrepresent your identity, affiliation, or authority, or submit false, inaccurate, or incomplete information;
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, server, data, or restricted portion of the Website;
• introduce malware, harmful code, or other material intended to disrupt or damage the Website or its users;
• use the Website to send spam, unsolicited promotional communications, or other unauthorized solicitations; or
• interfere with the security, integrity, or availability of the Website.

5. Content and Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise indicated, the Website and all text, graphics, logos, conference information, publications metadata, images, audio, video, downloadable materials, and other content made available on or through the Website are owned by ISOCC, its licensors, or the relevant rights holders, and are protected by applicable intellectual property and unfair competition laws.

You may view, download, and print reasonable portions of Website content solely for your personal, non-commercial, informational, or internal business use in connection with ISOCC, provided that you do not remove any copyright, trademark, attribution, or other proprietary notices and you comply with any license terms or restrictions shown on the Website.

Except as expressly permitted in writing by ISOCC or by the applicable rights holder, you may not copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, publicly perform, sell, license, or exploit Website content for commercial purposes.

6. Automated Access, Scraping, and AI Use Restrictions

You may not use any robot, scraper, spider, crawler, bot, agent, harvesting tool, text-and-data-mining tool, script, or other automated means to access, monitor, copy, collect, download, extract, index, or otherwise obtain content, data, metadata, directories, attendee information, speaker information, abstracts, papers, images, or other materials from the Website except as expressly authorized in writing by ISOCC.

Without prior written consent from ISOCC, Website content and data may not be used, whether directly or indirectly, for the training, fine-tuning, evaluation, benchmarking, grounding, embedding, retrieval augmentation, labeling, synthetic data generation, or improvement of any machine learning system, generative AI system, large language model, multimodal model, or related dataset or service.

You must not bypass or attempt to bypass any access controls, technical restrictions, bot-detection measures, rate limits, robots.txt directives, meta tags, authentication requirements, or other mechanisms used by ISOCC to manage automated access to the Website.

ISOCC reserves the right to monitor automated access, block or rate-limit requests, verify suspected bot traffic, deny access to any user agent, and take any technical or legal action reasonably necessary to protect the Website, its users, and its content.

7. User Accounts and Security

Certain areas of the Website may require registration. If you create or use an account, you must provide accurate and current information, maintain the confidentiality of your credentials, and promptly update your account information when it changes. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts or access privileges at any time if we reasonably believe that a user has violated these Terms, created risk to the Website, or engaged in misuse or unauthorized automated activity.

8. Third-Party Links and Services

The Website may contain links to third-party websites, submission systems, registration platforms, payment processors, hotel reservation tools, or other services. ISOCC does not control and is not responsible for the availability, content, security, or practices of third-party services. Your use of third-party services is governed by the terms and policies of those third parties.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Website and all content and services made available through it are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. ISOCC makes no representation or warranty of any kind, express or implied, regarding the availability, accuracy, completeness, reliability, security, or fitness for a particular purpose of the Website or any content made available through it.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ISOCC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages, or for any loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business opportunities arising out of or related to your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the Website, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.

11. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information through the Website are described in the ISOCC Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

12. Copyright Complaints

If you believe that any content on the Website infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, please notify the ISOCC Secretariat with sufficient detail to identify the material at issue and the basis of your claim.

13. Suspension and Termination

ISOCC may, at any time and without prior notice where appropriate, suspend, restrict, or terminate the operation of the Website or your access to all or part of the Website for security, maintenance, legal, operational, or policy reasons.

14. Governing Law and Contact

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Korea, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
